"Lefty", who's barn name comes from his blue left eye, is a 12 year old Quarter Horse/Paint cross and my guess is that he stands 15 hh. His previous owner trailered him to Colorado for trail rides and hunting excursions. He was trained by the previous owner in the Clinton Anderson method. I bought him with Cloe, my other horse listed here, thinking I would have a horse for a family member to ride, since I am a large rider. He is more laid back than his "sister" and does well on trails, but needs a refresher from someone experienced.... (read more) I have had more experienced riders on him and he is able to pick up the appropriate lead at the canter, walks and has that wonderful quarterhorse jog at the trot. He will let it open when asked. His previous owner thought he would make someone a great barrel prospect. He is registered and I have the paperwork to transfer ownership but I have never sent it in. I am only letting him go because I am too big for him to carry.
