Stanley is a beautiful bay 2 1/2 year old gelding who is ready to find a new home. He came to me as a completely untouched, malnourished two year old stud colt and has since learned to halter, lead, lunge, stand tied, stand for grooming, and to accept tack. He was gelded on June 6th and has gained weight since being with me. He has been through our gentling and desensitization program and has turned into a well mannered young horse. He stands right at 13.3 hands and still has a lot of growing and filling out to do. His body hasn't quite caught up with his legs. He should mature to around 15 hands. He has beautiful, large strides and will make a great riding horse. Stanley has not been backed but I plan to ride him by the end of the week. His price will go up with training, so get him quick. He has been intensively worked on the ground and with tack on. Stanley gets along well with other horses, and has settled down tremendously since being gelded. He can be slightly hard to catch in a large field, but is getting better as he learns to enjoy human company. He stalls very well; no stall kicking, cribbing, or other vices. He also loads onto a trailer well. Don't let this price fool you. I will not let Stanley go to just anyone. I rescued this horse from a neglectful situation and have worked very hard with him. He will go to an approved home only. If you're interested in giving Stanley a good home, please call or text 540-312-5967 or email. Texts and emails are the quickest way to get in touch with me. Thanks.
The picture is of Stanley when I first got him months ago. I will post more recent pictures of him soon.
