We traded one of our geldings for Fox and would love to keep him but we have to make room for the young horses. Our loss is your gain. Fox is a beautiful palomino that is shedding out into a lovely dappled golden color. Fox is a great riding horse that has never refused an obstacle on the trail. His previous owner said he was turned out to pasture for years but has been riding regularly for the past year and a half. We have trail ridden him with both large and small groups of horses including stallions and mares without a problem.... (read more) Fox just gets along with everybody. He even went with us to a roping competition and although we didn't compete with him, we wanted to see who he was going to behave and we were thrilled. He stood tied to the trailer or was held by another mounted roper in between cows. None of the excitement bothered Fox at all. He crosses water and logs without hesitation and has very comfortable, floaty gaits typical to the AQHA. He rides on a loose rein and does neck rein but we usually direct rein him. He always stops quietly when asked and stands even if the other horses leave him. I really like this boy. He is honest and calm and just a lot of fun. My only complaint is that he can be protective of his own space when he is loose. I just make sure he knows I won't allow bad behavior and he seems to actually accept and appreciate the discipline. Once he is haltered, a baby could handle him. He stands quietly to be groomed, bathed, saddled and even shod. Fox is a really cool boy. Give me a call and I'll be happy to tell you more!
