Soldier is a sweet in your pocket 16.3 gray gelding that is calm and trusting. He is up to date on feet, vaccinations, morning and teeth. He is tattooed but I don't have any papers. I lost my job and need find him a home.
My History with him;
I got Soldier in December of 2008. He was in a field with a yearling. He was/is such a big baby. He was a rescue for me because wasn't in any shape to ride. He had bad rain rot. My dentist said his teeth hadn't been done in years. His feet were cracked up and long. I was looking for a horse to ride because my first horse is retired. My friend had borrowed him for trail rides and said his owner wasn't paying board so I got him for nothing. I gave him the summer off to fatten up and get him happy. So in spring of 2010 I started taking lessons on him in a grass ring. I consider myself a beginner/intermediate rider. I haven't been riding regular threw the years. Soldier was in a small field with 8 horses and wasn't doing well I felt I needed to move him to keep him from getting hurt. The place we moved to only lasted a year then we moved again. He is out with my retired TB mare of 28 years old. He has gotten herd bound to her but I am sure with regular rides that will go away. He loves people and follows me everywhere. My husband likes to walk him in and out. He doesn't like his left ear messed with (of the track issue). He is low man in the herd dynamics so he needs to be out with kind horses.
I am taking this slowly so I find the right home. Thanks for your patients.
