I am selling my 7 year old Spotted Saddle Horse for because it’s getting hard to be able to give him the time he needs. I am concentrating on roping and Quarter horse riding, and with 4 kids, Air National Guard Duty and a civilian job, time is a commodity I am very short on. I have owned Chief since he was a 4 year old and he was my first horse. Chief is approx. 15.2 hands tall, is quiet; honest; well-mannered both on the ground and in the saddle; safe; and hard-working.... (read more) He can be a bit stubborn at times and will try to take advantage, but if you just tell him once he will do what you say. I wouldn’t recommend a beginner rider due to him having a good go on him at a gait and he will test you if he doesn't want to do something. I have ridden him bareback with a halter and he has been extensively trail ridden in IL and TN. Someone who trail rides would be the best fit for him as that is all he has ever done. He is very flashy and I get comments about him all time even from people who don't like gaited horses. He is calm right out of the trailer. If you want to show he would look really good under saddle seat. I hate to see him sit in the pasture and go to waste at such a young age. I am asking $2000 OBO and have his saddle that fits him that I would sell for an additional $400.
