I purchased this pony 4 years ago, as a prospect for my granddaughters to learn to ride. She was younger than I originally thought, but she was a very sweet pony. they however had little interest in riding her. They treat her like a big dog. She is very easy to catch, loves kids, will follow them anywhere, allows them to dress her up, carries their toys, their hula hoops, etc. They have ridden her with a halter and lead rope but she does not rein well and they are not interested in learning how to ride her.... (read more) I do not have anyone skilled enough or small enough to teach her to rein, but I know it would not take much to teach her. She loves attention, and wants to please. The kids are now developing new interests and she is too nice a pony to stand in the field. She is in a pasture with 5 other horses and gets along well with them but is the bottom of the pecking order. She is very caring with my 33 year old mare, and tries to protect her when she thinks it is necessary. She would make an ideal horse for a young rider, or a lead line pony for a younger child. Neighbors have used her for a lead line pony for birthday parties.
