Go to www.adamshorseandmuleco.com for more pics and videos. Smoke’s Lonesome Lakota (AKA Lakota) is a Stocky Built, 15.2hh, 9 yr old, Dapple Grey Gelding!!! He is registered Pleasure Saddle Horse and has an excellent pedigree. We bought Lakota from the family that raised him, off of the farm where he was raised. Lakota has been trail ridden all over Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. He has been on lots of week long camping trips from Big South Fork, to Land Between The Lakes, to Red Hill Camp, to Brown County… Lakota has been ridden hundreds of miles! It’s odd how good news can still make it tough on some situations... This family has been blessed with the news that they will be having their first child! News that they have wanted to hear for several years now. But with a child coming, a smart man considers how expensive that a child can be… Even myself… We had our first child almost 11 months ago and man it’s expensive! Baby needs a new outfit and a matching hair bow and “aren’t those the cutest shoes?” says her momma! You get the point-Momma’s are expensive! (LOL) But this man considered everything and decided to sell all of his “man toys”. His boat, Side by side ATV, and yes the horses too. With the new baby it’s not like he could just take off and go horse riding for a week anymore but he did say that in 5 or 6 years he would get some more horses and the 3 of them could start riding as a family. Lakota has a nice runwalking gait and a smooth rack. He is as smooth as any horse that you will set on at all speeds! He will also flatfoot walk on a loose rein or he moves out easily. Lakota is gentle and safe for most beginners to ride. He is a very smart and well trained horse, stops with an easy whoa and moves out nice too, you must see our videos where we are riding Lakota NO BRIDLE, just a rein around his neck and watch how well trained he is! Lakota has had 2 month of professional gaiting, trail and bombproof training. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. Just like everything we say about our horses, we have the videos to prove it, make sure to take a look at those on our website. No matter where he goes or what he does, Lakota is not spooky acting. On the trails he is always great! Lakota has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do.
