Lucky has been raised on our farm. She has the sweetest disposition you have ever seen! She has never tried to buck or throw a fit, and has had lots of hours of handling. You can catch her anywhere, she really does prefer to be with people. She has shown some real athletic ability and has already proven that she will go thru, up, or down anything you put before her on the trail with no hesitation. She has such a cute head and a good confirmation. She has had extensive ground work done on her before anyone ever tried to sit on her back. She has a great foundation!! We have had alot of calls wanting her for young children and we have discouraged that. Although, we do not believe that she would ever hurt a child, we do believe that she needs a little more finishing off before she would be considered a child's horse. Children seem to get extremely frusturated with a horse that does not know how to take automatic cues. Give her a year of good riding with an adult or older kid that knows what they are doing and she would be a great kids horse because of her extreme gentleness!! Company / Facility: Lazy J Ranch - We are a small ranch just outside of Macon, MS. Our lives are very busy with all that happens on our farm. We have 3 children ages 9,6,and2. The two oldest compete in local shows from April to October, and my husband has calf-roped for 10 years or so now. I offer riding lessons from April through November and we also board and train for the public. We love this life and feel very blessed to be able to raise our kids on a horse ranch.
