Smokie, Senior Pony Gelding Looking for Retirement Home

Smokie is a sweet and gentle senior gelding. He was a rescue pony. He has had a number of inexperienced horse owners in his recent days but shows allot of knowledge and training and it is evident that someone took good care of this little pony at one time. He is broke to ride but I am hoping to find him a low key home with pony rides/lead line occasionally as opposed to hard daily riding that he should be able to retire from. He is sound and walks, trots, lopes free and easy at will however does have one larger front knee, likely arthritis but has not shown issue, even in the cold. He is good with kids, dogs, cars, traffic, and has been pastured with cattle. Been ridden by my 5 yo nephew. Just had his teeth power floated and has good teeth with none missing. No need for special mash, just good quality feed. Current on farrier work (stood like a champ), 5 way, and worming.

Smokie is available to a horse knowledgeable, experienced home as a companion and/or light kids/grandkids learning pony. He will only go to a qualified home with available feed, finanical ability, and Shelter, etc. Smokie does have Cushings and is currently being treated with tabs (1 tab per day at cost of $1.00/ day) and will come with any remaining tablets for cushings. His price covers expenses (purchase, vet/teeth floating, shots, farrier, and cushings tabs) however finding Smokie a wonderful home is our primary concern and I realize that taking a senior horse on is an expense in and of itself. Smokie was a beloved pony at one time I am sure, and needs one last good home.
