Darby is a wonderful boy that could go any direction. He had some dressage training before I got him, but thats not my style. I have ridden him on trails and taken him to local saddle club play nights. He had no problems with arena work and didn't have any issues on barrels or poles. He loves to run and jump and never seems to get tired. He is all heart and I think he would make a great eventer or jumper prospect. He has a mellow temperament and is eager to please. He loads, ties, bathes and is great with his feet. I love this guy but he doesn't quite meet my needs. He needs a good home with lots of love and a chance to shine because he loves to work.
He did race when he was younger and has lots of speed. He isn't your typical OTTB, and has learned to enjoy being a horse. I had a local trainer put 30 days on him to teach him to drop his head and stay off the bit and he did wonderful with her. He is tall and lanky, typical TB build with high wither.
Price reduced because he needs a new home now. My younger gelding has decided he wants to be boss and has been pushing Darby away from the feed. Just don't like to see him getting picked on.
