Sapphire is an stunning, 7 year old, chestnut mare standing exactly 15hh. She has a beautiful, thick build and great conformation. She is a registered Standardbred but has never been raced or trained to drive. She is 100% sound and is a very easy keeper. She has lived outdoors 24/7 her entire life and thrives that way. She goes barefoot and has nice, solid feet. Sapph is not yet started under saddle but has been consistently working on her ground work (leading, picking up all four feet, standing to be groomed etc.). She has stunning movement, a gorgeous floating trot and a beautiful canter. We have never seen her pace. As Sapph was not handled much in her life, prior to coming to the rescue two months ago, she is still nervous and requires an understanding handler, however her trust in people is growing everyday. She is very willing to learn and has an extremely kind temperment. This wonderful girl needs someone who is willing to take their time with her and gain her trust. She is one of those horses that may take some extra time, but will give it back 10 times in return. Sapphire will be a very special horse for a special person. Sapphire Girl is available for adoption to an approved home. A contract will be put in place and a home check is required. Adoption fees are negotiable to the perfect home.
