If you are looking for your next great horse, you have found her!!!
This mare was started right with the help of clinician Kerry Kuhn in January 2012, during six days of private colt starting lessons. I rode her last spring as a two-year old to put a good foundation on her and then gave her the summer off. I picked back up riding her this fall and went through a second six days of private lessons with Kerry Kuhn in November.
Jazzy is good to catch in the pasture, leads well, and will stand tied quietly. She can direct and drive through gates and will walk, trot, stop, and turn around on the lounge line. I have hauled her six hours to Kansas and she loads well and stands quietly in the trailer. She ground ties for grooming and you can saddle and mount her from both sides.
This athletic mare is a nice mover with a long stride. She carries herself and a rider well. Jazzy is built to stop and drops her hocks to the ground! She has great potential to go in whatever direction you want to take her - from barrels, heeling, or sorting! Jazzy has a great foundation: she lopes off nice, leg yields, collects, does rollbacks, two tracks and yields her shoulders. Jazzy has tracked buffalo, she can pony two horses at once, you can throw a rope off her, and she's been trail ridden (crosses logs, mud, and water). She has been started tracking the Hot Heels and has cow in her! She has alsombeen started on barrels. She moves out readily when asked and can be pushed to learn new things. When you're done, she'll come right back down and stand or walk quietly. She's not spooky or high-strung.
With her bloodlines, she is bred to not only be a performer, but a great broodmare. Jazzy is 34% Bert and a daughter of Thirty Seven Bert (the highest percentage Bert horse in the country). If you have ever ridden a Bert horse, you know how special they are. If you haven't, you don't know what you're missing! Click for pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/ms+berts+bert
We bought her as a weanling and she has always been sound and healthy. Jazzy had her teeth floated in December 2012 and has been dewormed regularly. My farrier is also a horse trainer and has done a great job working with her feet. She had her second set of shoes put on two weeks ago. She's got a lot of growing left to do and will be a nice sized mare.
We also have yearlings, two-year olds, and broodmares for sale. See our website for more info.
May be able to help with hauling a reasonable distance.
