Hi, I have a coming 3yr old reg AQHA Mare that is broke to ride. She is about 14.2hh(about 750lbs at the moment and gaining) and should mature around 15hh.
I think she would make a great 4-h horse!
** She is a nice quiet mare, was broke out by a 12yr old beginner. She has already been on trails and overnight camping trips. will get in water, cross mud/streams, will step over trees in the path. We have encountered deer on the trails and in the fields and she didnt even budge.... (read more)she has been rode on the road,so shes encountered traffic and doesnt care. She is just an all around nice mare. She will stand tied for hrs and doesn mind, offers no fuss about it. She could make a nice walk/trot mare. She will walk/trot/canter/gallop with no problems. She is currently being rode in just a bosal, was rode in a halter on trails, thats just how quiet she is! she has been ridden in a hackamore too and does fine. i will be working with her on bit soon, she has had one in her mouth and rode with it one time but still green with it.
She is def. low man on the totem pole, .Will let you stand up on her back, slide off her butt, move around all over on her back. she just dont care what you do. I think she would make an awesome lesson horse or a kids longe line horse. i would trust her with a kid to ride. She stalls with no problems. She lunges on line and off line. She will pick up all four feet without any problems, she has ran with our minis and dont mind them.(just the stallion she dont like lol) Shes never been bred but has let a mini foal nurse on her.

We are a small, friendly, family owned farm. We mainly raise miniatures, but own a few big horses for our riding pleasure...
We have took in a few rescue minis in the past and we are open to take in some more.
