PICCOLINA I Grey Holsteiner mare foaled February 28, 2000
Piccolina I is a German imported Holsteiner mare that is approved for both the Hanoverian (AHS) and Holsteiner (AHHA) Main Studbooks. Jumping pedigrees do not come any better than this. Piccolina’s sire Cardino is from the Capitol I sire line; her dam, Fantasie V, is a grandaughter of the renowned Landgraf I. Piccolina in fact is inbred 3x3 to Landgraf I. Prior to our purchasing her, Piccolina produced four AHHA registered fillies. She was presented to the American Hanoverian Society in 2010, scored 7.5 and was Champion non-Hanoverian mare at her inspection. She has produced one Hanoverian foal, an ideal 2011 colt by Escudo II, who is undoubtedly the best foal ever bred at Fox Run Farm. He combined a great temperament and good conformation with exceptional movement and stunning looks.
Piccolina I foaled a big, beautiful colt by Escudo II on 5/5/13. She was bred back to Escudo II on May 15, 2013. If she is purchased now, she is $7,500. Once she is confirmed back in foal, she is $10,000. Her current 2013 colt is priced at $6,500 until weaning.
Piccolina I passed her Mare Performance Test in Germany with the Holsteiner Verband, scoring an overall 7.5, including a 9 in jumping. She is a big, scopey mare who stands 16.1 hands.
