Logan is a 6 1/2 year old, 15.2, unraced thoroughbred gelding. He is the sweetest horse I have ever been around. Not your typical thoroughbred at all. Loves people and always wants to be the center of attention. He has loads of personality and always brings a smile to your face. We got him as a rescue and he was about 200 lbs. under weight and his feet were chipped and overgrown. We have put a lot of work into him to make him healthy and happy again.... (read more) He has gained that 200 lbs and his feet are completely healed. He is currently being trained for hunters, but he has speed so I think he could do jumpers too or maybe eventing. Very flashy gaits. And don't let his size fool you, he has a huge stride and has incredible scope over the jumps! We have been mainly working on his flat work and have done a little bit of jumping with crossrails at the trot and canter. He had been to one show with his previous owners (A-rated) and they said he was perfect, never batted an eye. He is a VERY quick learner and is very smart. I would recommend him for a intermediate/advanced rider only because he is green and still needs a little bit of training. I think he would also make a good horse for a intermediate/advanced lesson program because he is so outgoing and friendly. Every ride he is improving and he always tries his best to please his rider. He is young so he is a little unsure of some things. Some colorful jumps scare him and he doesnt like when horses are right next to him when your riding, but he is improving on both of these issues very well. Also, he is a little timid around water but he's much better and tolerates it more every day. Other than that he has no vices, no bucking/bitting/rearing/cribbing etc. He clips, ties, baths, and stands for the farrier ~ all around very good ground manners. Kids love him, although I wouldn't recommend them riding him because he gets fast. He's been around dogs, cats, ducks and he's very friendly with other horses. The ONLY reason I am selling him is because I dont have the time that he deserves with school and my job. He has SOO much potential and I want him to be with someone that can bring out all that potential! It would be good for him if he could be ridden at least 2-3 days a week if possible or at least lunge him so he doesnt sit for too long. With a little bit of work, he will be the perfect horse. So if your looking for a young, sweet, beautiful project then he is perfect for you!
