Dramatic Black and White Mare

Twilight has a good, sound mind and learns very quickly. We have just begun teaching her to neck-rein and she is already picking it up. Not only is she smart but she wants to please. Twilight is naturally gaited, although she still needs work to keep her foxtrot. In addition to her fast Foxtrotter walk, Twilight will walk at 'normal speed' so she is a good trail companion for non-gaited horses.

Twilight loves people and comes when called, and even when not called! She is not dominant in the field but not a push-over either. Twilight's ground manners are excellent. She stands very well for her ferrier and her vet. She is very healthy and her ferrier says she has outstandingly good hooves and has never been shod. She does seem to have an allergic reaction to fly bites, so she needs good fly control.

Twilight is an extremely easy keeper. We feed her two-cups of a ration balancer for vitamins and minerals and two-cups of oats once a day and free access to either grass or coastal hay. And treats are a big favorite!

Twi had her teeth done this year and is up to date on vaccines and coggins.

I am only letting Twilight go because my health does not allow me to give her the attention she needs. Twilights deserves more riding time than I can give her. She truly loves being ridden and has the potential to excel as an endurance or competitive trail horse. My health has not been good and I am not able to ride her more than a couple of times a month. Twilight would really do best where she is ridden every day or multiple times a week. Twilight is not a horse for a beginner. She needs a confident intermediate rider.
