I have a six year old chestnut OTTB in need of a loving home. He raced 55 times with no injuries and vetted with flying colors. I am heartbroken to have to let him go but due to an advancement in my career and I no longer have the time to dedicate to him. He is a good hearted horse with a TON of potential. He is a very fast learner and an absolute delight to ride. I will say that his attitude can be a little sour at times- common with OTTB's. He is not aggressive and the extent of his attitude is pinned ears. I have been doing natural horsemanship work with him which has made a huge difference in our relationship and allowed him to really relax.
I bought him with the intent of eventing and I still believe he would make a fabulous eventer. He doesn't look at a thing and does fine with crowds. We are currently working on trot and canter and I have popped him over a few fences. He was a star the first time over a fence and picked it up quickly. He is also doing very well with picking up his right lead.
Ned has a lot of potential but does need a rider that has the time to work with him. I am asking $1,000 (what I bought him for) but I am more concerned with him finding a good home.
