Jaxen is an 11yr old, solid paint cross. I think he maybe be part TWH, though he is not gaited. He is healthy and sound, does not require shoes, is UTD on shots and had his teeth floated in the spring. He has a fun, willing personality and tries hard to please.
We purchased Jaxen a year ago for to work with children in our lesson program. While he is great with kids, he doesn't seem to have a talent for jumping. We purchased him from a family who used him for trail riding and it seems that is what Jaxen enjoys. We do use him occasionally on trail rides for beginner riders at Otter Creek and he is very happy doing so. He's got great forward gaits and has no trouble keeping pace with a trail group.
Standing at about 15.2/3hh, Jax is tall and has good bone so he is great for packing around larger riders. He would make a great husband horse and is suitable for all types of riders. He has spent the last year teaching children the basics of walk, trot, and canter and will ride english or western. Though we don't usually neck rein, it appears that Jax knows how.
Jaxen is an easy going guy with a go-with-the-flow type of attitude. He stands tied for kids to groom, tack, and bathe. Jax is currently turned out on a dry lot with round bales with mares and geldings. We are asking $1700 obo.
