Fairmont is an adorable 10yr old Registered Quarter Horse gelding who stands approximately 15h. He is a sweet boy who loves attention and is quite affectionate. Fairmont has good ground manners and is generally easy to work with. He spent the last 5 years as a school horse in an English lesson program, but he is also trained to go Western, and in fact seems to prefer it. He has smooth gaits and is usually reliable in the ring, but he is on the young side and can get a bit excited out on the trails, so he would do best with an experienced rider. Fairmont is currently recovering from an injury but is expected to be lightly ride-able on the flat after some down time. He will do best with one or two people he can truly bond with, this will really bring out the best in him. Don't miss out on this adorable guy with lots of potential to be your new best friend! If you would like to give Fairmont the loving, forever home he is looking for, please contact us. Fairmont's weight limit is 160 so please consider this when expressing interest.
Fairmont will be adopted to an approved home only. References, an adoption fee and an adoption agreement are required.

Friends of Lord Stirling Stable - Friends of Lord Stirling Stable School Horse Retirement Program - Mission Statement:
The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable School Horse Retirement Program was established in 2003 as a means to find suitable new homes for horses retiring from the Lord Stirling Stable lesson program. The program helps to ensure that our retiring horses, which have worked so faithfully for us, continue to be loved and well cared for, even with their limitations. The Program maintains a fund to be used to cover costs of board and care for retiring horses until a suitable home can be found. This program helps to ensure a bright future for our school horses.
Please visit our website for up to date information on the horses available for adoption as well as some of our success stories. To date, 40 retired school horses have found their forever home through our program.
