Additional Comments:
14 yr old Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse cross. Honey was a feedyard ranch horse. She is retired out of the feedyard as the daily work became too aggressive for a horse her age. She is my daughters' first horse for their 4H project. We are upgrading to a Show quality horse and only have enough space for a certain amount of horses. We used her in all the 4H play days and also with the horseless horse 4H-ers to ride on and my girls are beginning riders. Looking to find her a good home with someone who can care for her and love her. She rides nice and is sound. She hadn't been ridden since August and is a little fresh, we took her into the arena and lunged her first and got on and she was perfect. She is a little barn/buddy sour at the moment but nothing major, doesn't whinnie or get crazy. Her teeth and worming have been taken care of this past Oct. with Ivermectin and later with daily wormer Strongid C. We just pulled her shoes and she has had her feet trimmed and filed. UTD on shots this past spring. She is ridden western and has basic gaits, and is excellent at opening and closing gates on. She loves to load in a trailer and likes to go to work. She is chestnut in color and about 15.0 hh. Good temperment, stands for farrier, kids can crawl all over and under her without a problem. She does not do well with our yearlings and is the boss, but does excellent with other adult horses. We have no issues with her and she is in good health. I do not recommend her having a daily job in a feedyard but would be great for pleasure riding, trail, or moderate work with cattle. We would like to see her go to someone who has adequate pasture or can feed her twice or more a day like she was fed in the feedyard. We are not able to provide that for her. We are not firm on the price and will consider all reasonable offers. I will not sell her sight unseen and require buyer to come see her and ride her first.
