This is Bella (and my little sister) she is a 14.3hh, 5 year old Quarter Horse (her birthday was in March of this year (2012)), She is a grade mare, which means she cannot be registered. Bella is a sweetheart, she is the first one to the gate and will walk into her stall when the door is opened. She will follow you around the pasture all day long and loves to be brushed. She is slightly food motivated but she loves being scratched. She is a rescue, where we got her from beat her...... (read more)she doesnt like being pat but she is much better with it now and will get anxious with certain hand gestures, but as of now she is a mild pony. She doesn't know about new places at first and is buddy sour, but since my dad got a horse and we have 3 she hasnt been as dependent. She walks trots and canters although her canter needs a little work (she doesnt want to extend just yet). She has learned barrels in both directions but I havent pushed her hard because she is too young yet and I was worried about her joints. She is now old enough to get really serious about barrel racing. She has a phoenomenal turn that I havent seen in a long time. She will bathe and play in water after a few min of getting acclimated. She is NOT shod and will stand for the trimming. She doesnt really mind flyspray if she is haltered and held loose. She loads well and crossties nicely. Saddles up like a dream, she opens her mouth and plop goes the bit, no squeezing or finger insertions required. We bought her as an "experienced trail horse" which was obviously not the case. She seems a lot more comfy out on the trail with a buddy or two and loves to run the barrels. I have come to sell her because college is so demanding. I am going to Vincennes University for Conservation Law Enforcement and I am working in Vincennes all Summer next summer and cannot afford her board for her to stay with me. Nor do I want her 3 hours away as a yard ornament. She has a LOT of talent and I'd love to see it applied but I have no time or money to do so. I am also getting rid of the tack that she uses. I have a lime green headstall, reins, bit, chest piece and boots. I am looking to sell her saddle as well, all tack for $350. If you want both Bella and her tack I would like $1000. Please if you are interested e-mail (subject MUST be cowgirl), text or call (765) 437-9198 . If I don't answer PLEASE leave your name and number and I will call you back ASAP. I can send extra pictures and details if you ask for them. To good home ONLY she is my baby and I will be very careful as to where and who she goes to. I don't want her to go to another home and be a lawn ornament, she has SO MUCH TALENT I would love a show home to buy her but all good homes WILL be considered. Thank you for looking. I am moving and need to find her a new home SOON all reasonable offers will be considered. (rode her 5 days in a row and she can now canter collected on cue AND stop with a weight shift and light hands) PLEASE CONTACT ME TO SEE THIS SWEET GIRL. Would make an excellent Christmas present and I will throw in a blue breast collar as well!!!
