1/2 Arab, 1/2 Saddlebred. Marquis De Cognac daughter. Hunt seat, YOUTH MOUNT SUPREME! My 7 year old learned to ride on her and has shown her. (1st two Open circuit shows together she placed 1st or 2nd in every class against 15-21 horses. They have youth W/T classes and all ages W/T classes at our open shows, so would show 4 classes/show). My daughter canters on her at home but isn't perfected enough to canter at a show yet. Magic is very tolerant of beginning riders and has had total beginner child and adult riders on her safely. She has also been down the trail with my 7 year old (and myself on another horse.)
We planned to have my daughter step up to Arab shows and I would share her for 2013 Class "A" Arabian show season. One horse at expensive Breed shows suitable to be competitive in AOTR and youth classes. She is good enough for an experienced youth or adult rider to show and have fun with but level headed and easy going enough to carry a youth or walk/trot rider as well. Sudden change in financial situation forces sell.
My daughter works around her to groom, bathe, pick feet, and saddle. She loads and hauls like a dream. She is great for vet and farrier. She is in great health, UTD on farrier, shots, worming. Will have a new coggins test done for buyer or beginning of the year, which ever comes first (as the old one is almost a year old).
She had a foal 2 years ago and was a wonderful mom. She is turned out in pasture for the winter so is fuzzy, but we still ride when weather permits with no indoor...she doesn't need a lot of tune up, just conditioned in the Spring.
I get on and go without lunging when I ride her and only longe her briefly before my daughter rides. Uses a smooth snaffle bit and running martingale and has a good mouth. She has a scar on her left hip from an old injury but it doesn't affect her and you don't notice it when she's under saddle around the show ring. Beautiful head and neck and sets and collects for hunt seat beautifully.
