Harley is a registered TB gelding that has a ton of potential in the jumper ring. We got him after he supposedly had a year of training for the track (he never went to the track). We quickly found he had no training so he was started over. Harley is very easy to work on the ground- he stands quietly tied, is good for the farrier, loads easy and is easy to catch. He needs an experienced rider as he needs a steady, firm, quiet hand that will transmit calm to him.
Harley was started jumping and has shown an incredible talent for it. He was brought along slowly so as to keep him calm after the jumps. He now will reach for the ground on a loose rein after a jump. He has done a line of 3 fences, not a full course yet but he has jumped single fences of 3'4". Over the higher jumps he has great bascule, is very tidy below the knees and brings his knees up to his chin. He has the potential to do 4' or higher.
Harley really uses his hind end and tracks up nicely. He is very athletic and is built to jump or do dressage. He would excel with someone who is experienced riding hotter horses and has the ability to keep them calm and focused.
Harley has also been ridden out in the country on the road, by himself and in company. He is good with traffic and walks along on a loose rein.
