Additional Comments:
"Sugar Bear" is a pretty, athletic, well trained mare that wants to work. Sugar Bear is out of AQHA World Champion stallion "All Too Cool" and out of a point earning mare who produced several AQHA World Show qualifiers and ROM earners. Sugar Bear was started at a late two year old and lightly handled. During her four year old year she spent several months at feed yard and lots of time around pasture cattle. This is where she showed her interest and talent shined through. At the feed yard she was used to ride pens, ship, sort, etc. Though Bear has not had the opportunity to work cattle since then, she has the skill, talent, and drive to shine in the working cowhorse, ranch horse competitions, and team sorting. Bear would also make a perfect mount for a rancher that is looking for a dependable horse for ranch work, or to check pasture cattle on everyday. This mare works completely off of your legs with a loose rein, all of her gaits are collected, she has a low head set, she knows how to sit back on her hocks and have a slow lope, but will open up without being asked twice. Sugar Bear is mentally and physically sound, has good feet, trailers great, is easy to blanket, and has no vices. She stands about 15.1 hands. Though she is well trained and mannered, she is not a beginners horse and may not be suitable for some intermediate riders. However, if this mare is worked daily, she does become very mellow and does become a suitable ride for a beginner. This is a horse that can go all day - everyday, and she only gets better with each ride. She had her teeth done and full body chiropractic work done in October and her feet were done two weeks ago. She is ready to get to work! Current asking price is $4300, price is negotiable. There are many other horses on craigslist that have a higher price and are have much less training and athleticism this mare has, don't miss out on her. This mare was previously in Bennett - for serious inquiries I would be willing to take her back and meet you in Bennett. Feel free to email me with questions, I am more than happy to answer. Her pictures are from early last spring, she hasn't changed much.* Update* 3/21 Bear has now been exposed to jumping. She trotted and was jumping 1 1/2 and 2 foot jumps today. She is very careful about her feet - she did not over jump them and was careful to find a good take off point. She had good shape and form when going to the right however the left shape she tend to drop her left shoulder. This mare was very, very calm and really enjoyed starting something new.
