Additional Comments:
BP is a 6 year old, 15.3 hand TB gelding that retired from racing in June. Since June we have given him lots of downtime and attention and recently began putting him back into serious work. He's a very quiet, kind horse. Solid walk/trot/canter both ways in an indoor or outdoor ring and has been enjoying going out for long trail rides at least 3 times a week, covering as much as 6 miles in one ride (and eager for more!). He has gone through water and mud and over logs and walked, trotted, and cantered up and down hills, seen deer, dogs, and traffic. He has great balance, a good brain, and is an easy ride for anyone with a few miles of their own in the saddle. He's a sturdy build horse, like a Quarter Horse in a Thoroughbred's body, and a nice mover.

BP rides on a pretty loose rein comfortably on the trails. He is eager to work but will go whatever pace you choose and is not strong. Will lead or follow and has had horses bounce off of him on the trails without concern. While we've been using him primarily on the trails our vet believes he would be sound and suitable for up to mid-level eventing. He's not a special needs horse but he has had a long racing career and we want to make sure it's the right fit wherever he goes. He currently lives on pasture 24/7 with a mixed herd and does very well barefoot. Up to date on shots and coggins. No vices other than he will crib in a stall if you do not use a collar. In the pasture 24/7, with electric on the top board, he does not have to wear one.

BP is currently available for adoption, and references will be required, but we are hoping to find him a nice home by December. Please contact us with any questions!
