I had to sit down and take stock of what I have on the farm. I have a grandson of Strait From Texas that I am going to be standing at stud. I have 4 granddaughters and 2 daughters of Strait From Texas, (can you tell I like the Strait horses!!). I need more out-cross mares not Strait mares to use for breeding so have decided that some of the Strait's have got to go. "Ellie" is a very sweet filly. Don't let her "dirty winter underwear" fool you, she is compact, has a great hip, good solid bone and has a nice head and small ear. She is willing and ready to work. She is a very late 3 year old, being born end of June. She stands 13.3 at the wither and 14.1 at the hip as of 1/5/08. Should mature to 14.1 maybe 14.2. She weighs in at 1050 lbs, so she is a very solid filly. This filly is extremely handy. She really wants to get under herself and turn.
