Additional Comments:
Grade 5 yr old dun gelding, 14 hands and broke to ride. All four black hooves and strong. Have ridden him at Wilson's creek and bar k without shoes with no problems. Thick horse, very proportional and stocky. Can carry an adult just fine.
This horse would be best for an intermediate child or small adult, but I have had beginners on him with supervision. He can side pass, responds to leg pressure, flexes well, been ridden in arenas and on trails, been exposed to lots of different things. Soft mouth, collects nicely, responds well to cues. Does not spook but will look at some things, however not the bolting or bucking kind. Will go through water, across bridges, trail obstacles, etc... He trailers well and stands tied. He has been ridden by adults and intermediate kids. Soft and smooth walk, trot and canter.
He needs a rider that will enjoy him and work with him to finish him out fully. Very gentle and soft, but still young and needs a firm hand every once in a while to discipline or direct. Would be an excellent 4-H project or youth horse to learn and grow up on. Been ridden English and Western.
Very healthy, negative coggins, feet trimmed regularly, de-wormed and vaccinated regularly. I do not have to sell this horse but the reasons I got him are no longer relevant. I will not be using him like it thought I would. I'm happy to answer any questions and provide you with more info. I will be discriminant with where he goes. I take very good care of my horses and will not let him go to just anyone. I'm very experienced with horses and the horse market so I know what horses are worth.
Shipping Notes:
I can haul him for an extra cost, and as long as it's a reasonable distance from Springfield, MO.
