Paxton would make an excellent trail horse for any advanced beginner, to a more experienced rider looking for a laid back and relaxed ride. He is absolutely bombproof with an "I don't care" personality. Paxton has an "in your pocket" personality at and away from the barn. Great stall and pasture manners, handles well on ground, and will follow you around like a puppy dog. If you are looking for a forever best friend, he would be it. I have been doing training/first level dressage with him in hopes of getting him to be as solid in the ring as he is out on the trail, but that doesn't seem to be where his heart lies. Every horse enjoys something, whether it be jumping or dressage, and Paxton truly enjoys trail riding. He hacks out confidently, ANYWHERE, by himself or with others. Absolutely no spook, and a pleasure to hack out. He would also work for someone looking for a quiet horse to fox hunt second field, who just wants to wtc with the group and at the same time not have to worry about their mount. He has a great mind and go with the flow attitude. He trailers, clips, bathes, and stands for his feet to be handled. 100% sound with no vices. Serious inquiries appreciated

Anchor Creek Farms -
We specialize in buying and training young draft cross horses. Each horse is initially started on the ground in a round pen, learning the basics of lunging, backing up, and turning on the forehand and hindquarters. All of this is taught with the main focus on gaining the horses respect. We also desensitize each horse to tarps and other objects, as well as farm machinery, lawn mowers, and vehicles. Once the groud work phase is completed, their under saddle training begins with introductory/training level dressage. It is important to have a well balanced, collected and properly muscled horse before asking them to go further in a particular discipline. Following this, horses are asked to do gymnastic excersises over small verticles and cross rails. If a horse shows jumping potential they are asked to jump further. All horses are also trail ridden on a regular basis and asked to cross creeks or any other obstacles along the way. It is very important to have a well rounded horse. When a horse is ready to move on to another home, we advertise to find the perfect buyer and place for each horse.
