Additional Comments:
Daisy is a Shire - Quarter Horse cross. She is currently in training and will be up for sale Spring of 2013 at $3500 Firm. However, if you are interested in purchasing prior to Jan 2013, we would consider discounting her price accordingly.

Riding: Trail, Parades, Mounted Posse

Daisy has 10 years of experience on the trail. She has an amazing ground-covering stride that would rival some gaited horses on the trail. She crosses water, logs, and bridges all without hesitation. She'll ground tie and can handle overnight stays with ease. Pony a pack horse, young horse, or green rider off of her.

Riding: Arena Work, Western, English, Dressage, & Vaulting

Daisy's forward gait makes her an ideal candidate for more formal training in the arena. She has a solid walk, trot, and canter and she is very sensitive to rider cues. She'll move laterally off of leg pressure and she can isolate fore and hind quarters. She's also an ideal vaulting horse""she has a strong back and a reliable temperament. Daisy has carried vaulters ranging from 3 to over 65 years old.

Driving: Pleasure Driving, Skidding, & Farm Work

Daisy has been used pulling carts, Christmas trees, and small logs. She has been harnessed to pull sleighs full of hay in the winter to feed the rest of the herd. With her latest training in collecting and extending gaits, she is ready to move into competitive pleasure driving.

Ground Work: At Liberty, Manners, & Trailering

Daisy has a foundation in Natural Horsemanship with an emphasis on at-liberty groundwork. Put on some music and with a few subtle hand and body cues send her cantering in circles, backing, sidepassing, jumping, and coming in for "hugs"Â. Because of this training, she is the easiest horse to catch in the pasture, she'll clip, bathe, trailer, stand for the vet and farrier. Great manners all around.
