Super sweet weanling colt. Ukiah is black with 3 1/2 whites and an irregular blaze.
He is out of one of our homebred mares, Trail-Light Lady Jane, a bay mare with a lot of body. Not a tall mare, but a lot of other great qualities about her. She was out of imported parents with great bloodlines, including Bodernog Baron and Raygold Bill.
Ukiah's sire is our Sr. herd stallion, Flash, who is a son of Earnshaw Ideal, who was National Grand Champion in England in 1995 and 1997. In 2009, Flash was awarded the Ohio Shire Champion Stallion, as well as Best American Bred Stallion, and Best Ohio Owned. Flash is an excellent example of an old time shire, with clean legs, short back, nice croup, good size hoof.
