"Doc" is a SUPER nice, VERY TALL, kind, sweet and gentle gaited gelding who is EXCELLENT on trails with great manners on the ground or in the saddle. He a dream-boy for a tall rider who enjoys a gaited horse or a novice husband who wants to accompany his wife on the trails on a gaited horse. Doc is a 'been there done that' gelding who can be ridden down the ride of the road without spooking from motorcycles or big trucks and is also accustomed to deer and dogs crashing through the brush.... (read more) His conformation is excellent with big bone and solid feet, and a vet exam just a few months ago pronounced him sound and healthy. Doc is comfortable and confident going out away from the barn or out on the trails all by himself, and is also mannerly in a group where he will lead, mosey along in the middle or bring up the rear. He goes through water, over bridges, loads and hauls nicely and is all-in-all an outstanding boy. He can be enjoyed by a beginner or an experienced rider and his ONLY drawback could be if someone is intimidated by his size; he is truly a 'gentle giant' though. Doc is up-to-date on his shots, dental work, and worming and lives in Bend, Oregon. He is offered for sale because the husband who Doc was purchased for has been too busy to ride him more than a couple of times all summer. Doc is MUCH too nice to just let stand around, although he can be left un-ridden for many months at a time and still walk off as quietly after the layoff as when turned out.
