Buddy IS SPECIAL - he is DARLING - we don't know his breeding, but COULD be a Welsh/Quarter cross? and he really LOVES children. His owners purchased him several months ago and have enjoyed him on the trails as well as around the barn where he is MR. PERSONALITY - playing with a rubber dish - smacking his lips - anything to catch your attention or make you laugh. He has been the beginner husband's horse, who had never ridden before, and little Buddy has carried him safely and calmly on quite a few trail rides and down the road.... (read more) They would keep him FOREVER but due to their health problems which have become more active over the last few months, they realize that they won't be able to ride much at all any more. Buddy is so easy to get along with and so well-broke and SENSIBLE and fun to ride; he deserves a wonderful new home with someone who will baby him and ride him and have FUN with him. Buddy was checked out by a handicapped riding program and passed their stringent exam; as far as we know he is sound and very healthy. He has great manners, is very tolerant of beginner's 'mistakes'; loads and hauls beautifully and doesn't have ANY vices. This really nice little gelding can do just about anything you would like of him... From what we know of his background, he was enjoyed by children at a summer riding camp for about five years; then was a young lady's eventer in the winters. If you are looking for a shorter, easy to mount and go anywhere trail horse, you really should meet Buddy. He is current on his shots, worming and hoof care and lives in central Oregon.
