Exceptionally Handsome, Well-Trained Mule - Dressage/tr

Danny is a very classy, well-built and well-trained 11-year-old mule with lots of eye-appeal. He was born at the K-K ranch in Klamath Falls, purchased at 8 months by his previous owner, and then sold to his current owner as a coming 8-year-old. Danny was started using Natural Horsemanship methods, so does groundwork nicely in a rope halter. In his previous home he had dressage training, so can do leg yields, haunch and forehand turns, knows his leads, and works nicely in an arena. He was also started in jumping training, so might want to jump a log or downed tree on the trail, but can also walk over them if asked. During the last few years Danny has been trailered to lessons occasionally, but has almost exclusively been enjoyed on horse-camping trips and trail rides through the mountains. He is unfazed by dogs, deer, cars, motorbikes or hikers on the trails and has been around alpacas on his home ranch. Danny travels on a loose rein on the trails and does know how to neck rein, but does better with a direct rein for arena work. He typically walks out briskly and enjoys leading a small group but will fit in anywhere, or can be ridden all by himself. Danny will do best with a kind, firm and mule-savvy new owner. He is very intelligent and cannot be mistreated nor handled roughly, but definitely needs a respectful firm leader who is experienced in handling a curious, kind mule who tries to please. Danny is healthy, current on his shots, worming and trims (he hasn't needed shoes in the four years he has been with his owner); gets along well with horses; is easy to catch; and loads and hauls beautifully.
