Additional Comments:
Roxy (Brown Sugar) has been my daughters best friend for 3 years and she has been a loyal partner. Roxy is best suited for a child or smaller woman with a light, gentle touch. She responds to quiet treatment and doesnt take a heavy hand. She is ridden and jumped in a snaffle by my 11-year-old. We purchased her from a dressage trainer and my daughter taught her to jump x-rails immediately - shes brilliant! She took her to a local show and won reserve champion after wed owned her for just 2 weeks. My daughter went on to win High Point Champion for the entire year in the 10 & Under age division with Roxy. She is a gorgeous mover. She has been in training with eventing trainer Alice Sarno (ridden weekly) for the last year and my daughter has schooled her in cross country through Beginner Novice. She had western training at some point before we bought her and could easily go western pleasure. She always scores well in dressage tests. My daughter's walls are COVERED with ribbons from showing her! Roxy has competed and won ribbons at the AHJA show in Scottsdale, as well as DSH derbies. My daughter regularly jumps her at 2'3 and Alice jumps her to 2'9. She is a great traveler and loads easily. My daughter is responsible for her care - she tacks her up, bathes her, and grooms her. Roxy loves children and Alice states she is very eager to please and is very wiling. She does not buck, bite, rear, or have any other bad habits. She follows my daughter around like a puppy and is very loving. She is, and always has been, sound. She is great out on trails (my daughter has taken her out alone and in groups and Roxy has always been calm and easy going). Plenty of pictures/videos available! Roxy will only go to an approved, loving home : ).
