Strong and Lovely Registered Paint Mare

Winnie (barn name) is a calm, very friendly mare with a fun personality. She is safe for kids, but she is tall and big-boned so she would work well for adult riders too. She has been ridden both English and Western. She was trained for arena work, but in the two years that we have had her she has been ridden almost exclusively on trail rides. She is a steady trail horse with no spook in her; she will ride through anything on the trail. She will come to greet you when you walk into the corral; she will stand quietly with no lead rope or halter while you brush her, pick her hooves, and flyspray her. She stands quite well for the farrier. No teeth problems. No kicking, biting, rearing, bucking or any other aggressive behavior. She does crib a little bit. She will eat locoweed if she has access to it. We are selling her because, due to the locoweed in our pasture, we must keep her in the corral all spring, summer, and fall. This makes her unhappy, as she would like to be with our other horses. She did get into locoweed when we first got her two years ago, but there are no lasting behavioral effects. We all really hate to part with her, but we think she would be happier in another situation.
