5 yr old Hanoverian/Paint Gelding for Sale Sale Pending

Monty Gobay is a 5 yr old 16.1 Hanovarian/paint gelding. Very sweet, honest gelding who tries very hard for his rider. He has been shown, ridden in clinics and hauled to and ridden in various indoor arena's which he handles smoothly. I have done alot of trail rides with him both with a buddy and alone. He clips like a dream and baths, has been hot shod and gets along with his farrier. Collects in walk, trot, canter and has been over cross rails which he enjoys. I have lead my 3 year old son around on him and he is always a very carefull gentleman with him.

He has a nice forward trot, beautiful extensions and a beautiful lofty canter. Smooth transistions including walk and/or halt to canter transitions when he is in shape. Moves off your leg nicely and backs easily. He is very sensitive to the rider and only needs very subtle aids.

Monty has had extensive ground work done including lunging, long lining, short linigng, double lunging, lunging with side reins and more. He has been around cattle, dogs, machinery, kids, etc and is not phased by any of it. He can have months off and you can always get on and pick up right where you left off without any nonsense. He is a loving, sensitive guy who is completely honest. Needs an experienced or intermediate rider as he is still young.

I have built a loving relationship with this big guy and put alot of time into him but unfortunately I have changed my direction with horses and so am having to offer him for sale in order to pursue this new path.
