Buddy - Coming 3y/o POA (about 13.2-13.3h) gelding. Very sweet and gentle, excellent ground manners, very special horse. He is a very flashy palomino with exceptional confirmation and a great attitude to boot! We bought this little guy last December (2006) when he was severely starved (weight less than 350lbs) and had a bad case of strangles. He recovered very quickly and by spring, was ready for training. He has about 15 days of training on him but since then he has been ridden by beginners in the round pen and is doing great. He has a wonderful want to please attitude, and tries to do whatever is asked of him. He'll ride in a snaffle, halter & lead, or hack and does great. He'll ride saddled or bareback, but most of his rides have been bareback (it's just easier and saves him the extra weight). With a little more time and a few more rides he'll be great for anyone and everyone to ride anywhere. He has an outstanding hard to find personality. At this point, just riding him weekly will finish him out. He neck reins a little but direct reins great, will stop on a dime (almost slide stops), backs easily, and listens intently to verbal cues. He's great with his feet, trimming, grooming, takcs up well, loads easily, and stands still for mount and dismount. As good as he is at this age, in a few years, this horse will be priceless.
