Motown's Devil Woman, aka "Lucy," is a gorgeous, well-made chestnut sabino mare sired directly by WGC Motown Magic, out of a direct daughter of 1987 WGC Coin's Hard Cash. Her 2nd dam is by the noted broodmare producer, Pride's Royal Master and her 3rd dam is by Pride of Midnight. On the maternal side of her pedigree, she comes from broodmares owned by the legendary Harlinsdale and Waterfall Farms.
A former park performance show horse herself, Lucy has already proven to be a promising young broodmare. She produced with Ted Williams a colt named Sherwin Williams, who is the 2010 Racking Horse Amateur 2 Year Old World Champion, Open 2 Year Old Reserve World Champion, and Amateur 2 Year Old Reserve World Grand Champion.
Lucy has a very sweet personality and is one of our best riding mares. She is big and stout enough to carry any size rider and she is so easy to handle, we have put beginners on her. She has a good motor and will keep up with the pack - no spur needed with this mare! She has a wonderful smooth gait under saddle, and she will ride in any bit - she will even ride bareback in a halter.
Lucy is currently checked safe in foal to our homozygous tobiano stud General Hector, and will have a black tobiano by him guaranteed. (She sells with a LSFG to the stallion so buyer has return priveleges if she does not deliver a live spotted foal). We regrettably offer this nice mare for sale in order to reduce the size of our broodmare band. If you are looking for a beautiful, well-bred and well-trained, sensible mare who you can ride and have the option of raising top babies out of; here she is. Lucy is an easy keeper and has no issues. She also has great hooves and has always been barefoot with us.
