Star is very sweet, kind, honest and well-broke to ride. He and his 'best friend', a handsome Molly Mammoth Mule named 'Miss Bob', were purchased together 10 years ago by their owners. They have been ridden and enjoyed on probably hundreds of trail riding adventures all over the Bend, Oregon area. Star gets along well with other horses (and Miss Bob) and has been kept current on all his shots, worming, hoof care and had his teeth floated about six months ago. Star is gentle with a wonderful disposition would probably rate a two on a 1-10 scale. He has nice, balanced conformation with excellent straight legs with good bone, and must have been a gorgeous young gelding - he still is very handsome and sound as he matures. Star is only being offered for sale because his owner's have not been riding much in the last year due to health issues and he is a GREAT trail horse and fun to ride, so they don't want him to just turn into a pasture ornament. He can not be ridden for weeks or months; then caught; groomed; saddled and rides off quietly as always. His ground manners are excellent; he neck reins and is easy to handle in a simple snaffle bit. When an experienced rider got on him a couple of years ago his owner was surprised and pleased to see that Star knew how to side-pass, pick up his leads, and MORE when asked. We would like Star to go to a great new home WITH his partner, the good Mammoth Mule 'Miss Bob' who is also offered for sale on this site... They get along beautifully and make a great team for a husband and wife or family to enjoy together.
PRICE: $1,800 to a loving home - or $3,500 WITH Miss Bob as his partner
