Treasure My Remington, aka Remington is a 15hh Seal Bay 3 and a half year old Gelding. Grandson of Reminic, Million-Dollar ARHA, and NCHA World Champion. He came here in the late spring and has been ridden all summer on both public and private trail rides. Attended the Annual Pioneer Wagon Train ride with wagons, mules, 50+ horseback riders. Did perfect. Has had 3 months professional reining schooling. Turns on forehand, turns on hindquarters, backs up perfectly, has a very good stop.... (read more) Ridden in a broken snaffle. Wonderful headset and breaks at the poll, he is ready for walk-trot WP county or Open shows. Has had alot of riding since started as a 2 year old. Remington is VERY laid back and VERY gentle. When we put out a round bale, he will hardly move out of the way for the Skidsteer to place the bale, he is that calm. He is traffic safe. Exposed to Dogs, chickens and other farm animals. Exposed to equipment, and crowds. Shoes easy, and currently shod on all four feet. He is 100% Sound and sane. Easy to catch in pasture. He either comes to you, or waits for you to come to him. He gets along with other horses fine. Not a mean bone in his body. He will make an excellent childrens lead-line horse. He has not been a childs horse, only has experience with adults, why I say he "will make" a good childrens horse. I would not be afraid to put anyone on him with a halter and lead out in the yard. Remington loads easy and has been loaded into a step-up, 4 horse trailer. I have his APHA registration papers on file, open and ready to transfer. He would probably also make a great Husband-safe horse. Has 4 White socks, a Star, and snip. Over all, he is an extra sweet, social and VERY low-key type horse, but I must repeat, he is VERY laid back, and really prefers to walk (though he does move through the gaits with encouragement). If you are looking for a horse with spirit and energy, he is definitely not for you! Remington needs to be ridden with someone who will use proper leg pressure when asking for more forward motion, otherwise Remington will simply just walk. ( He has also been ridden in light spurs and does very well with them in training sessions). If you are looking for a follow-behind trail horse to put your youth on, he is the one! UTD on Everything, de-wormed, shots etc. SERIOUS buyers only please!! $1200.00. Call 615.330.4349 Ashley Amick-Balmez. Thanks for looking!
