"Smoke" is a good looking, gentle, and well broke mare who has been faithfully working in our string of trail horses for the past 2 years.On trail she walks out fast, trots out good and lopes smoothly.She is friendly with other horses and has great ground manners as well. Anymore she is so broke that we can just get on her with no warm up and ride her anywhere. She is also used to ponying other horses or ride away from the herd by herself.We like Smoke very much and are only selling her because we have to sell some horses as part of our business every year.We believe she would be best suited for somebody who wants to do more with her than trail riding. She has some very nice performance bloodlines in her pedigree consisting of Ropers and Barrel Horses. Both her parents trace back to the famous Haythorn Ranch in Nebraska.She has a solid foundation now and we have used her last year for a hunting season for ourselves because we like riding her.She is very laid back now because most of our rides consists of walking but she can run and she used to be a rather hot horse as a 2 year old.Smoke would be a good horse for somebody who wants a horse to really work sometimes. Even though she is fairly small, Smoke is tough and will ride all day without fatigue if asked. There are no holes in this mare. She is nice to be around on the ground and under the saddle and she has no health issues of any kind! She could have a nice baby with color one day too!Update: we currently have Smoke at our winter farm in Leoti KS about 240 miles east of Denver.
