Boss is a kind, gentle horse that is retiring because of his arthritis. He loves to be groomed and given lots of attention. We would like to find him a home where he can be a companion horse or a pet and get all the love he so deserves! He is safe and trustworthy enough for young children to ride him at a walk or with a leadline. Young children can be around him or on him and he will not hurt them. He loves to trail ride and could probably go on short rides or be ridden around the pasture.
Boss has taught many beginners how to ride, but now he needs to live the easy life! He can go barefoot or with shoes. Our vet said he can have 1 scoop of Bute everyday (his horse aspirin!) for his arthritis. He does well with this and it is not an expensive medicine.
Boss has no bad habits, he has excellent manners, and he gets along well with other horses. He is just a wonderful horse to be around. He will not let himself get pushed around by other horses but might get picked on if there was a real dominant or aggressive horse. Boss is for adoption (no adoption fee).
