I bought this mare to breed, so she has not been ridden regularly in over a year. She had one baby with me and now I need to sell her due to financial troubles (hence her really low price). When I bought her, the seller told me the following:
"FANCY.... Great mover, bred to be incredibly sound---sire is still eventing sound at 22 years old, barefoot. Could be a very fancy A hunter. Great balanced canter. Very quiet disposition. Snaffle in all three phases. Sired by Elijah, ATA event horse of the year. We've sold siblings of this mare to eventers around the country, where they have become VERY popular with their owners, and two have placed top 4 at the AEC's! Siblings have won Area Championships in Area 5 and 3. Consistently schooling BN & Novice level work. Confidently jumping 3' courses, has schooled up to 3'10" in grids."
I think she evented to novice. She is completely sound and could go back to being a saddle horse. She was a fantastic mom and a very easy broodmare. She has very correct confirmation and was very attractive when she was fit. The pictures I have of her are all during and after her pregnancy and do not do her justice. The picture here is at 8mo pregnant. I have current pictures of her sister Faith and her 12yo rider I can send you. Faith gives you an idea of what Elisha would look like if she was fit.
I rode her for the first time in over a year and she was very well behaved. This video is her first time being worked in over a year: Elisha Sept302012
I have since ridden her about 10 times; she improves with each ride. She does toss her head a bit in the canter if you get too strong with your hands, but this will go away as she gets stronger.
She has good feet, is perfect for the vet and farrier and is a very, very easy keeper. She is up to date with all shots and just had her teeth done.
She has excellent verbal commands and impeccable ground manners. She would make a terrific dressage horse.
Price is negotiable Let me know if you have questions.
