Rex is an 18 year old gelding. He is a bay with a lot of life left in him. He is about 15.1 hands. He is up to date on everything. Has his teeth floated yearly and has his feet done every 6 weeks. He is a good boy. We give our horses a daily dewormer in their food. He is my daughter's horse who is now 18 and starting college. She used him for trail riding and also for Katy Cowgirls. He has been in multiple parades, carries a flag and knows how to behave in chaos.... (read more) He is fabulous on poles. He knows the pattern and can run them great. She started him on barrels and he knows how to run them but he still needs work in this area. Rex is great in the arena and does that well. He trail rides but he does not enjoy that as well as he enjoys the arena. The guy I got him from used him to babysit his young nephew while he worked other horses. He rides bareback and doubles. He rides in a halter and lead rope too! He has never offered to buck or kick. He stands tied and loads in a trailer like a dream. My daughter is focusing in on college and working also. Since she graduated she can no longer participate in Katy Cowgirls. So we have decided to put Rex up for sale. I would recommend him for any age child or experience level in the arena. On trails I would recommend him for an older child up to an adult, beginner to experienced. My daughter who has trail rode him a lot says when you take him out with the whole herd he does great on trails. If you take him with just one other horse from the herd he does great going but coming back he gets faster and faster and you have to be strong enough and experienced enough to get him not to do that. He really is a fabulous horse that would make another child or adult a wonderful horse. We have mostly rode him western but he has been ridden English and would make a cute lower level jumper.
