Tried and True is how we would all describe Kwik. A lover of kindness, this wonderful gelding is the most deserving of all of our horses of the perfect home. Kwik ran his heart out for many owners during his racing career and has worn many hats since leaving the track in the fall of 2010. He's been a babysitter and a would-be therapy horse, he's led and followed on trail rides, and even taught a few lessons. Kwik is the go-to guy, the perfect other brother, the one who, in spite of all of his gleaming characteristics, seems to be overlooked for the near-perfect horse that he truly is.
Kwik is fun and uncomplicated under saddle--he's not a finished horse, yet, but he has all the desire in the world to be. He's great at the walk, trot, and canter, and is starting to school figures while he learns what it is to bend and give. He's easy in the bridle and easy on the hands. Time and his own person will bring him to the next level of performance.
Kwik is up for anything and lives to please. He's a lover of peppermints and scratches, soft pats, and kind words. He trusts openly and freely once he's made a friend, and is the horse who helps with every chore he can if he's in a helper's workspace.
Kwik has no vices, is wonderful to work around, and would be suited to a rider of any level. He's great for the farrier and grooming, loads without a blink, and enjoys a good bubblebath from time to time.
This wonderful gelding has been a part of the A Pinch of Luck program in one way or another for nearly two years and is more than ready for the home of his dreams.
