Caspian is a 9 yr old Paint/POA. He is an easy keeper, up to date on shots and has negative coggins. He is barefoot and is trimmed regularly. He has great feet.
He is very friendly and loves attention. He comes running to the gate when you call him.
I purchased him a year ago for my daughter but she has lost interest in riding. Previous owner used him as lesson horse in her eventing program and so has a little show experience. While he loves to jump, he can get a little bored with ring work if you don't keep it fun and interesting. He LOVES trail riding and I think probably the best match for him would be with someone that does primarily trail riding but if you were able to keep it interesting, he could possibly make a good eventing horse as well.
My daughter was a complete beginner when we got him and while we made it work, I wouldn't recommend him for a brand new rider. He is very smart and will test you and try to take advantage if you aren't confident and assertive. He needs some work on his ground manners as he can be pushy and in your space. Under saddle he is great, however currently he is a little out of shape. He has been going out of trail rides but hasn't done any arena work in a while.
I've been doing some natural horsemanship with him and he is very quick learner.
I love this horse and am only selling him because my daughter doesn't want to ride anymore and he deserves to have a partner that will spend time with him and give him a job.
