I would like to lease out (at your barn or one near me can be set up) or sell my Lipizzan mare. She is 15 hands tall and was born 5-28-98.
She is pure bred and registered with USLR and is Genetic I.D.ed
The man I bought her from told me she has dressage training, and she does. I just haven't taken her to be evaluated to see up to what level she knows.
She is a very green ride for going on the trails, but she loves to work in the arenas.... (read more) I've rode her in a western saddle, but she falls into step better when wearing a dressage saddle and you get your seat right.
She is not top dog in a herd setting (at least with my other mare). If out in the pasture, she likes a buddy.
She is forward moving and sensitive. Can balk when loading into a trailer, but we have been working on that and she is getting better.
I've had her teeth floated on June, 4th, 2012. I also had her tested for worms while at the vet that day and the test said she was clear. She is current on hooves too and is good for the trimmer. I keep my horses in a natural barefoot trim.
The reason I need to sell or lease her out, is that I bought her to get my husband to go riding with me. His job keeps him from having time to go, and I would rather have her getting used by someone. She is out of shape for doing dressage, but is willing to go once saddled up and work. If your interested in a lease, it would be a care lease. Meaning you would be responsible for board, hoof trims, worming, and hay/feed.
I can deliver her to a boarding stable if not more than an hour from me one way for no extra charge. If farther, I would only charge for fuel used, not for my time.
