I bought Cooper a couple months ago to try out for a trail mule for my mom. The couple I bought him and his faithful companion "Donkey" broke them both to ride but then didn't do much with them for a couple years. We are new to mules this year and have one seasoned 19 year old trail mule we love so much we bought these two in hopes my mom and daughter could each ride them on trail with us. Although we all LOVE Cooper and Donkey, Cooper is still a little too green for my mom (who is 64 and hasn't ridden in 40 plus years) and Donkey (who is really an adorable small pony mule that looks just like Donkey from Shrek) is a little too small for my daughter who is 14.... (read more) I have ridden Cooper all over my farm and through our modest trails through our woods and he does great for me! We work through obstacles too. If something is a little scary or confusing for him you just ask him patiently and he works through it does it beautifully for you! I call him green broke because he is not "finished" and beginner broke, not green as he's been ridden 10 times, just to be clear because I know that can be a very loose term, lol. His ground manners need a little more work as he was aloud to get away with being pushy from the previous owners, but he is better every single time you handle him and is a blast to ride! Extremely smart and willing. He is easy to catch, picks up his feet good, bridles and saddles well, no buck or bite or kick or mean behavior in any way. He and Donkey LOVE being together and we would love for them to get to stay together so we would be willing to give Donkey to the buyer of Cooper in order for them to get to continue their journey together. They are hilarious to watch playing and horseing around in the pasture together! I do have a couple other pics to share if interested. Please feel free to ask questions. Must sell so we have room for another old broke seasoned mule for mom when we find one. Cooper just got his teeth floated today, full power dental float so his chompers are good to gor for a year!
