Additional Comments:
Just turned three in April. Stetson is technically a dunskin. Buckskin coloring with dun barring and dorsal stripe. He is 15.2 hands. He is a really awesome horse and this has been a back and forth tough decision. We just don't click like i'm used to with my other horses. He is not currently registered but could be with AQHA, I do have the paperwork, but being gelded, I didn't want to spend the money. His sire is "Smoken Now" http://www.rockinmaddyranch.com/smokennow.cfm He is a foundation "Leo" bred horse. He also goes back to the unforgettable "Skipper W","Bert", and "Joe Reed II". Stetson's dam is "Poco Kings Chaser", this mare has all the big names, "Ricky Taylor", "Three Ohs", "Johnny Bull", "Three Bars", and of course the famous "Poco Bueno". They are both working cow horses, You can see both of their pedigree's here... http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/poco+kings+chaser and http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/smoken+now . Stetson does all the usuals, bathes, ties, loads, clips, hauls, and is a complete gentlemen for the farrier. He is the first to the gate and the easiest horse to catch no need for grain, or halter, he will just follow. Saddles and bridles well. He has the best feet, no spilts, cracks, or chips and has never taken a lame step. He currently has shoes because he has been in training and rode everyday, but before six months ago was always barefoot. Just had his feet done on 7/8/12. He leads, lunges, and roundpens well. He knows a few tricks like bowing and laying down. He has also been started on the Clinton Anderson DUH Fundamentals. He knows at least the concepts of most all of the exercises on the ground and a few of the under saddle ones. He spent 60 days with a trainer under saddle and has a good start. Loves trail riding doesn't care where in the pack he is. Not scared of water, animals, noises, cars, ditches, or bridges. He currently rides in a lose ring snaffle and prefers a rider with soft hands, and confidence. He prefers not to be stalled constantly and gets bored, he likes to run. I could go on about him all day. This horse has potential galore, he has size, brains, build, and the bloodlines to take you anywhere. He will not be sold to a beginner rider, as he is still fresh and young. I do not HAVE to sell him, so I will be choosey in looking for that perfect home for him.
