SALE PENDING---This colt has it all, gorgeous looks, color, and temperament. He has a stocky, solid, correct body and a nice short little head that is darker than his body. His eyes are dark but have blue speckles in them, it's just a beautiful, striking contrast with the darker head. He was born cream colored with dark points, had a buckskin colored foal summer coat and in the fall started to shed out a pale blue/grayish color, then haired up lighter again for winter. We sent his papers in with photos and AQHA decided he is a Grulla. He most likely is, but has one dilute gene also, so his color is lighter than the average grulla. We believe him to be a Smoky Grulla (a black based color, modified by both the dun factor and the dilute gene). His color is more silvery gray than a buckskin (bay based color, modified by a dilute gene) would be, it's a very unusual color. What he definately has is tons of dun factor. He has a wide dorsal stripe, vivid tiger stripes all the way up his legs and chest and he also has the head and shoulder shading. His sire, True Dreamin Dude has dun factor and, so far, has thrown 80+% dun foals. His dam, Lucks Moon Dial is a grulla with heavy dun factor. From the day he was born, he has always come right to us when we go mix with the youngster herd. He is smart and willing to please, he halter broke easily and is very good about being touched anywhere and is good about picking up his feet. He loads and hauls like an angel. He is fearless in new places. Likes to be groomed and bathed. Loves to hang out with people. He's been wormed regularly, has had his shots and is receiving a small amount of concentrated food every day along with free choice hay. True Ice Bear and both sire and dam have their pedigrees on AllBreedPedigree.com, just type their names in the query box. Both sire and dam are foundation eligible percentage wise, so he could be registered as a foundation horse. We estimate him to be 94%. He was a very cute guy as a weanling, but as a yearling, he has blossomed into a truly beautiful creature. His body is balanced, his legs are streight, he has a perfect tapered neck and a very shapey head. He is ready for some power feeding and an exercise program that will turn him into something really awesome. Check out our website on the Sale corral page for more photos of Ice.
